I find the character Talent Tables in Shadowdark to be a cool mechanic for character growth. I found a lot of the options to be alright but not terribly interesting, so to increase diversity in character options I revised the tables.
Instead of the 5 options on the 2d6 table (2, 3-6, 7-9, 10-11, 12) I expanded the entries on the 2d6 table to (2, 3-4, 5-6, 7-8, 9, 10-11, 12)
In this post I’ll detail the core classes and in further posts I’ll go over the Ranger and the Bard since I made so many changes to them as a whole.

Temp HP goes away during a rest and doesn’t stack.

Of course DM has final say of what type of Magic Item and helps the Wizard translate the spell from an older game.
The Lucky Ability which I grant to Thieves allows them 1 D20 reroll per day.
